Hi,
If you're already using Kaspersky then windows defender remains disabled by default, though I hate it when I disable protection of kaspersky and the protection of windows defender gets automatically enabled, that's why I disabled it from Group policy, it no more annoys me.

You're right but when you disable Kaspersky protection and self-defense then Windows Defender automatically activates itself. You can do as you wrote and disable it via Group Policy but if you only want to use your Tweak Assistant then you can just add exception in Windows Defender when Kaspersky is disabled, reset trial license, restart PC, then delete exception from Windows Defender, enable Kaspersky protection and self-defense.

Maybe it's more complicated "route" but doing that you're not "giving up" Windows Defender entirely, for example when Kaspersky will not meet your expectations.
