I did already 2 days ago what you did and suggested... I've done resetting, then activated using the tool... still I'm facing the nag screen... tried to remove the nag screen using the fix... but it's already proved outdated and no logner serves the purpose!

Im 24 hours past reset and activation and so far no problems here, ill report back if i get re-nagged

Fake Serial Nag Screen always showup...

Even though I have done a trial reset, remove Nag screen, activate again, uninstall IDM and reactivate the results, everything still displays a fake serial number.

Pleasee, please.. and please update idm tweak assistant

i have a suggestion:
1. Uninstall the current IDM from it's roots and windows registry by using IOBIT uninstaller or REVO and be sure to remove all files within
2. Restart your PC
3. Install Older Vision of IDM
4. Don't update if it asked to the current new version .
5. Use the IDM tweak ASSISTANT .
6. Activate It.
7. Restart your PC
8. Be Sure that it's Activated
9. Update to the current new version.
10. Congratulations ...

Sadly, thats no different that updating from the previously working version....as we all did

Once the new .exe and .dll's are updated the result will be the same

Remaining on an older version is possibly valid, ill give that a go

Update:

*Super* Clean installing the older version did NOT work long

I just got the nag screen again - fear this is a server check now

I havent blocked the domains in hosts in years but heres a quick batch to do that - it will remove file attribs, append the domains, then set file attribs again

Note i am also now back on the latest version while testing this

you can try this, i tested in clean VM (first) and my running system, so far nag hasnt reappeared on either VM or live system....longest ive gone without it so far, so fingers crossed

both installer and crack/patch included - not my work credit to the patcher

yup i just got it, lasted 3 whole days....

going to try running again, but dont have a lot of faith

i re-ran activation, and then blocked via hosts again

12 hours later - nags

going to try reactivation but no hosts blocking

Update: Only hours later it was back to nagging again....

for now resetting trial may be best option
