There is another newer method just recently released that you can try and see how it goes. Perhaps this might be useful. They are using freeze trial option to get IDM to be used forever until a better fix is created.

- Right-click on the Windows start menu and select PowerShell or Terminal (Not CMD).
- Copy-paste the below code and press enter
