Hi Everyone,
I have a request/idea for a useful utility in the VS Code ecosystem. Sometimes after testing different extensions, installing/uninstalling trials, or doing repeated configuration experiments, VS Code still seems to recognize the extension as “already used” even after I remove it.
Would it be possible for someone to create a VS Code Extension Uninstall/Reset Tool with the following features?
Is anyone here interested in building something like this, or does a similar tool already exist?

- Completely remove an extension along with all cached/trial data.
- Reset hidden local settings related to that extension so it looks like a fresh install.
- Optionally, wipe any leftover metadata across system folders.
- Work cross-platform (Windows/Linux/macOS).
